ABOUT THE COSY

The Cosy exists as a not-for-profit coffeehouse to help sustain the work of The Lighthouse Project. It has its home in The Lighthouse, we've created a beautiful space for you to come and relax, which is tucked away on the first floor with an outdoor terrace.

The Mission of The Lighthouse is to serve and empower, restoring hope. This includes caring for those in crisis in very practical ways, such as Woking Foodbank and Jigsaw Project.  It also includes empowering and equipping through Esteem Ahead, Nurture Lounge, Baking Table and Job Club. We are passionate about community, so are often creating opportunities to build and develop community.

The Cosy is staffed by an amazing team of volunteers who are passionate both about the work of The Lighthouse and about great coffee!

Locally roasted coffee

Our coffee is supplied by the amazing Beanberry Coffee Co and is blended and roasted less than a mile up the road! You cant get much more local than that...

Locally baked bread

Our bread is supplied by our friends at the Christmas Bakery in Worplesdon.

Established in 1860, the family run Bakery has stood in the village of Worplesdon near Guildford, Surrey, since the middle of Queen Victoria’s reign. Now in its fifth generation of the Christmas family, they continue their heritage of traditional craft baking producing our own range of daily fresh breads, cakes and pastries.

Their experienced bakers bake day and night and specialise in craft baking using traditional methods and original recipes. The output is delicious!
